Cotton Bowl Football Tickets

Though it has moved from its namesake stadium, the Cotton Bowl is still among the most iconic college football games of the year. Over the last 75-plus years, the annual post season match-up regularly features some of the best players in the NCAA, and anyone lucky enough to get Cotton Bowl tickets will have a firsthand glimpse at some of the future NFL stars.

The first Cotton Bowl game took place in 1937 and featured TCU and Marquette. The Horned Frogs won 16-6 and started a tradition that would soon grow to be a staple of each college football season. Over the years, the appeal of the Cotton Bowl grew, and by 2009 it had moved from the famous 92,000-seat stadium where it started to the state-of-the-art confines of Cowboys Stadium. Despite the change in location, the game has certainly not lost its luster.

One of the best Cotton Bowls took place in 1994 when No. 4 Notre Dame took on No. 7 Texas A&M in a rematch of the previous year's game. The Fighting Irish came away with a narrow 24-21 victory and ended the year ranked No. 2 - barely missing out on the national championship.

There are certain things in college football that never change, and the Cotton Bowl remaining a highlight of the post season is one of them.
