An aging venue, but great game
By Marty from Mizzou from Columbia MO on 1/4/2008
Pros:
Great Style Of Play, High Energy, Record-setting performanc, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Cons:
It was c-c-cold
Best For:
Everyone

The Cotton Bowl is a historic venue, but aging. 2009 will the be the last year the game is played at Fair Park before the game moves to a newer venue. Traffic was terrible because of road construction, so many fans were late to the game. If you go, check traffic conditions and think about taking a cab or shuttle. If you have seats under the overhang, dress warmer. We couldn't see the main scoreboard from where we were sitting, either. As for the game itself, it was spectacular! We saw a record-setting performance! The half-time show was just okay....no big acts, but we did get to see a lot of bands. If your team is in the Cotton Bowl, do go....you'll have lots to remember. The sponsors set up a great area outside the Cotton Bowl with giveaways, and other stuff, so the celebration goes on before and after the game.
