Cons:
Boring Plot

I love all the Cirque shows and I have traveled far just to see some of them. This one was so bad we walked out in the middle and everyone around us was complaining. It just wasnt a Cirque proformance. I cant believe it is still around!!

Wintuk was a disappointment for all!
By Disappointed in CT from Hartford CT on 4/4/2008
Cons:
Amateurish, Boring Plot, Poorly Acted
Best For:
1st time Cirque du Soleil, Children

I am a Cirque Club member and I purchased these expensive tickets almost a year in advance so that I (and my fiance) could spend my birthday in NYC for the show. I even purchased the tickets before they had a concrete concept selected for the show (based solely on Cirque's reputation and my past experiences) I've seen many of Cirque Du Soleil's performances in the past and have always been completely awestruck by the performers. We almost walked out during intermission, but because of the price of the tickets, we decided to stay. The performers were sub-par for Cirque Du Soleil (ie. I've seen better performances from street jugglers. He dropped balls/pins 3 times!) In addition, I have seen many of the acrobatic acts previously- the woman with the hoola hoops, the balancing act, men rolling in hoops, etc. The one thing that REALLY drove us crazy was the annoying little brat who kept WHINING about "WHY DOESN'T IT SNOW"! I thought he was going to throw a temper tantrum on stage. It seems that they found the most un-coordinated pubescent kid they could find! I was completely disappointed with this performance and I would not recommend the show to anyone - even those with small children. I imagine that kids would prefer to watch Sesame Street to this performance. By linking Cirque Du Soleil's name to this performance they were able to sell tickets, but I wonder if others will be less likely to attend Cirque in the future? After this performance, I have decided not to go to Kooza even though it is currently playing in Hartford.

Wintuk disappointment
By lover of the theatre from amherst, NH on 2/3/2008
Cons:
Boring Plot, Difficult To Hear, Difficult to see, TOO LOUD
Best For:
Boring piece of theater, Not for anyone

We took our wedding party to see one of the original Cirque du Soleil productions 20 yrs ago in Las Vegas. Everyone was absolutely blown away. It was so beautiful, so poetic, so french, so original. Wintuk felt like it was created for the lowest common denominator, very loud, unoriginal. My daughter, who is never bored, leaned over and whispered that she was "tired, can we go?" I felt like I was in the stands of a ballgame--all about concessions and sticky theater floors. There is hardly any rake to the floor of the audience and we couldn't see over the people in front of us. I would never see a theatrical piece in that theatre again. I would see Cirque du Soleil again, in hopes that they rekindled some of that old magic.

Great Show!
By JojO from New York, NY on 1/23/2008
Pros:
Audience Loved It, Great Acrobatic talent, Great Set Design
Cons:
Boring Plot
Best For:
Everyone

I bought tickets to this show as a christmas gift since my girlfriend saw the billboard in Manhattan. All the stunts performed in the show were great. Unfortunately one of the byciclists fell on a stunt...no biggie, he got right back up and the show went on! The only downside is that we were expecting a Cirque Du Soleil show based more on acrobatics like we've seen previously on TV. This show was more kid oriented, but great considering we saw it a day after Christmas. Overall I recommend this show!
