Chris Robinson Brotherhood Concert Tickets

Chris Robinson, who was once the front man of the Black Crowes, recently started up a new musical project, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood (CRB). This five-piece act stays in the same vein as Robinson's former group, performing mellow psychedelic and blues tracks. The major difference between Robinson's former and current groups is the emotion behind each song. Fans that pick up on these vibes snatch up Chris Robinson Brotherhood tickets to twirl and jam with their brothers and sisters.

CRB expresses mainly melancholy on the The Magic Door, the album the group released this year. Songs like "Appaloosa" and "Sorrows of a Blue Eyed Liar," while they do have a few beats and make listeners want to tap their toes, also carry a palpable sadness that is hard to ignore. The band's meandering melodies blend well with Robinson's wistful lyrics, and his delicate, scratchy voice only further highlights the pain and sadness behind these tunes.

When the group performs live, the set consists of more than just tracks off the album. In fact, CRB has been known to perform covers of Black Crowes songs, much to the delight of Robinson's hardcore fans. UltimateClassicRock reports the group played a rousing rendition of Jerry Garcia's "Sugaree," and even a Bob Dylan cover in between the group's original tunes.
