Chicago White Sox Baseball Tickets

Visiting the Windy City? Why not pick up Chicago White Sox tickets to enjoy a game at the U.S. Cellular Field, formerly known as Comiskey Park, in the heart of Illinois. Those in attendance are sure to show you a good time. One of two MLB clubs based in Chicago, the Chicago White Sox are part of MLB’s American League. Originally part of the West Division from 1969 to 1993, the Sox slid on over to the Central Division in 1994.

Even if you're not the biggest baseball fan, it could be fun to take in the live action of a team that was one of the original eight charter franchises in the American League. Chicago’s beloved South Siders began their career as the minor league Sioux City Cornhuskers in 1894. Morphing briefly into the St. Paul Saints and then into the White Stockings, The Men in Black arrived as the Chicago White Sox in 1904. Though the team has been in the American League since 1901, it more recently joined the Central Division, becoming a part of the group in 1994.

The White Sox clinched the World Series in 1906, 1917 and more recently in 2005. The 2005 win was a long time coming and the players made sure to do it big for the fans. The team, including pitcher Mark Buehrle, who pitched in Game 2 of the World Series and saved Game 3, was able to sweep the Houston Astros for the title. The franchise was the 19th team in history to sweep the series in four games. Maybe it’s a Chicago trait, or maybe it’s just a baseball thing, but Chicago White Sox fans are rabidly loyal. Though the two teams never faced off between 1907 and 1997, the cross-town rivalry with the Chicago Cubs sends Sox fans into a frenzy. Divisional foe the Detroit Tigers can lead to a massive display of Sox pride. In the world of baseball, team pride such as this is a stunning thing to behold.

A White Sox baseball game is a guaranteed good time for the whole family. The team has churned out many Hall of Fame baseball champions and continues to play strong, especially since their 2005 World Series Championship win. As it is said “There Are Traditions and There Are White Sox Traditions.” Get your Chicago White Sox baseball tickets today and be part of the tradition!
