James Earl Jones and Terrance Howard bring an intensity I've not witnessed on stage before, and the rest of the cast is equally brilliant.

Roof Not So Hot

Play was quite boring. No real story line. Acting was ok only because of the cast. Disappointed because Terrance Howard was not there. Definitely not worth the price I paid for the tickets!

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Theater Tickets
Of all the American playwrights, few are held in such a high regard as Tennessee Williams, and of all his famous works, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof may be one of the most beloved. Since it was first performed in 1955, the play has become a staple across the United States. Much like many of Williams' plays, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof centers around family conflict in the deep south. The story examines the relationship between married couple Brick and Margaret Pollitt, as they head to Brick's family's estate to celebrate his father's birthday. However, Brick and the rest of his family are hiding a secret, Brick's father, known as Big Daddy, is dying of cancer. Throughout the course of the evening, everyone's strained relationships comes into play, all with the underlying deceit resting squarely in the back of everyone's mind.

The play addresses many hard truths faced by families across the country, and thanks to the emotional drama in every scene, the play has resonated with audiences for decades. Along with many stage productions, the show has made its way to TV and film.
