Built to Spill Concert Tickets

Recent years have seen the indie rock scene grow into one of the more popular musical movements around. Fans of the genre can learn more about its roots by picking up Built to Spill tickets when the band comes to a town nearby.

The brainchild of lead singer/songwriter Doug Martsch, Built to Spill is one of the most influential bands of the 1990s. Their signature sound, which combines deft guitar work with their highly literate and at times prosaic lyrics, helped establish the group as a pioneer in Indie music alongside contemporaries like the Pixies and Dinosaur Jr.

Martsch began the group when he broke away from his previous band, Treepole, in 1992. Since then, the group has released eight full-length albums, notably including 1999's Keep it Like a Secret, an album selected as the 41st best album of the 90s by popular online music blog Pitchfork. The band's latest album, 2009's There is No Enemy, was touted as a return to form for the group, as many of Martsch's musical influences, such as Neil Young, were clearly on display in standout tracks like the single "Hindsight."

Though difficult to pigeonhole, Built to Spill has remained one of the most critically celebrated bands in all of indie rock, and their LIVE shows maintain much of the enthusiasm and spirit found on their albums. Buy your Built to Spill tickets today!
