These tickets were reasonably priced for an event that was in high demand. The tickets themselves were collectable and one of a kind. It was a really organized, the track looked beatuiful, and the grounds were very clean. Nothing bad to be said for the event.
For the price paid for Lady's Secret Cafe tickets, to run out of cold beer is unacceptable. There were no arrangements made for the inclement weather which they knew was going to be a problem, at least 3 to 4 days ahead of race day. They could have easily tented this section but chose not to. Terrible and not worth the price at all. I highly doubt Monmouth Park will see the Breeders Cup again anytime soon. They simply couldn't handle the crowds and just don't have the proper facilities.
Horse racing offers a nice day out and its always better when its not too crowded. The rain helped keep the crowd to managable levels. The tragic loss of George Washington was awful but we have to remember they love to run.
Breeder's Cup was great. Very sad end with one horse being put down. Hope that the NTSA will look to Monmouth Park again for another Breeder's Cup Weekend.
