3 bands that are awesome live

I haven't been to Red Rocks since the early 80's. I've been to concerts in San Bernnadino, Albuquerque, San Antonio, and Dallas but there is something about Red Rocks that puts magic into the event. It was a beautiful day, we wound up in the 15th row, and LIVE, Collective Soul, and Blues Traveler put on an AWESOME show. Best 4th of July I've ever had!!!!

Blues Traveller was Red Hot

Popper in-person...in-credible! I haven't seen them in some time and was surprised to see the new, improved, slim, trim John Popper. He also seems to have traded his ammunition vest full of mouth harps for a tray full on the table. Are they "cheapos"? Ask the dozen or so people in the crowd who went home with one after Popper flipped them into the melee like a beat up pair of drumsticks. Same classic licks with some new mixed in. Highly recommended for anyone who turned on a radio in the 90's.

Blues Traveler Concert Tickets
Led by harmonica virtuoso John Popper, Blues Traveler has established itself as one of the best-known bands in southern rock over the last 25 years. Catchy melodies combined with excellent instrumentation made them a staple of the 1990s and their popularity has not waned, with fans still picking up Blues Traveler tickets at moment's notice.

Blues Traveler grew out of a high school jam band in the 1980s, but it was not long before the informal garage sessions became something bigger. After moving to New York City, the band worked on its debut album, which was released in 1990. While only moderately successful commercially, the record earned some airplay on local radio and helped set the stage for what would be a whirlwind decade. The album also got them up on stage with jam band favorite Little Feat, and later on Allman Brothers Band.

The band's big break came in the form of the 1994 album Four. The album was a critical favorite and features what are likely Blues Traveler's best known songs "Hook" and "Run-around" Thanks to those two songs, the album cracked the top 10 and earned the band a Grammy award in 1996.
