Belle and Sebastian Concert Tickets

Belle and Sebastian got its name from a French children's television show about a boy and his dog. Led by Stuart Murdoch, vocalist and guitarist, the seven-piece band features a unique sound that's equal parts folk-rock and 1960s pop. Murdoch's talent for whimsical, surrealist, yet unsettling lyrical detail keep the songs grounded and can be heard when you buy Belle and Sebastian tickets.

Belle and Sebastian is based out of Glasgow, Scotland, and released their first two albums at the height of the chamber pop movement. Initially the band stayed under the radar and played at unusual locations like libraries, church halls and homes as well as the normal coffeehouses and cafes.

In 1996, the band released their debut album, Tigermilk on Electric Honey Records. Only 1,000 copies of the album on vinyl were released. That same year Belle and Sebastian released a sophomore effort, If You're Feeling Sinister, and their name became popular in the United States.

After many more independent projects, Belle and Sebastian worked with their first producer to create a collection of songs for the movie "Storytelling." The band moved to Los Angeles and recorded The Life Pursuit, which shifted from their traditionally delicate sound and after 10 years of a subtle presence the band played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl in the summer of 2006. In 2010, the band released the album Belle and Sebastian Write about Love.
