Beats Antique Concert Tickets

Noted for their mix of various genres, Beats Antique is an American experimental, world-fusion and electronic music group. The trio is made up of guitar, sax, viola and percussion player David Satori; keys, toy piano, drums and percussion player Sidecar Tommy Cappel; and belly dancer, composer and arranger, Zoe Jakes. Together, they fuse genres like flamenco, afrobeat and French Gypsy jazz to create a unique melody. Get your Beats Antique ticket to see how they form a bridge across cultures and weave together unique sounds at the same time.

Beats Antique originally came together to make music for Miles Copeland's Bellydance Superstars extravaganzas, a bellydance and music show. Satori began dating Jakes in 2007, and she introduced him to Miles Copeland, who asked to create an album of modern bellydance music. Jakes knew Capel from the Yard Dogs Road Show, a traveling hippie circus, and brought him into the band to record the group's first album, Tribal Derivations, in 2007. The record was produced to complement Jakes's mesmerizing dance style - an innovative blend of tribal and traditional bellydance mixed in with tango, break and even some elements of Indian dance.

Beats Antique released their second album, Collide, in 2008, and it incorporates a wide range of musical styles, including jazz violin, Romanian wedding music, hip hop, dub reggae and more. Don't miss Beats Antique break it down LIVE! Buy your Beats Antique tickets today!
