Basia Bulat Concert Tickets

Basia Bulat is a Canadian folk singer and songwriter known for matching melodic autoharp harmonies with her resonant alto vocals. She is best recognized for her 2007 indie album, O My Darling, which made her one of the most talked about newcomers that year. Buy some Basia Bulat tickets and watch one of Canada’s most talented singers perform live on stage.

Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Bulat was enamored with the family radio, listening to the local oldies station for hours on end. As a college student, while earning her English degree, she first performed in public as an opener for the Juno Award-winning artist Julie Doiron. Then, once she had a few shows under her belt and a growing number of local followers, Bulat decided to self-release her first EP in 2005.

She released O My Darling under Rough Trade Records in the U.K., who had signed her the previous year. Great reviews from British music critics encouraged her to tour England and Europe.

A few singles from her debut album eventually got some radio play on Canada’s CBC Radio 3 including "Snakes and Ladders", "Little One" and "I Was a Daughter." Since that startling debut, she has toured Canada, the U.S., and Australia.
