Ravens vs Raiders
By Cheryl from Richmond,VA on 11/20/2008
Pros:
Great Atmosphere, High Energy, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Cons:
Boring Style of Play
Best For:
Everyone

This was a gift for my boyfriend. He had always wanted to see the Raiders play and because Baltimore was in driving distance from Richmond, I purchased tickets for us. After reading previous reviews, I didn't know what to expect. The Ravens fans were very friendly. There was a rude Raiders fan sitting in our area but after there was no hope for the Raiders, she got very quiet. We really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to going to another game( he wants to go to Oakland this time). Would use this site again to purchase tickets.

Baltimore Ravens Tickets

The Baltimore Ravens are members of the North Division of the AFC. Established in 1996, the team’s title is a nod to “The Raven” by writer Edgar Allan Poe who spent a lot of time in and rests in Baltimore. Currently the team plays home games at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore proper. The Ravens came into being through a controversy that saw the then owner of the Cleveland Browns attempt to move his franchise to Baltimore. After much haggling and a deal that saw the shell of the Browns remain and the insides move, the Baltimore Ravens were born. Happy to have a professional football team in town since the loss of their beloved Baltimore Colts, local fans snatched up Baltimore Ravens tickets in anticipation of the new hometown pride. The Riptide Rush triumphed over the Oakland Raiders in their opening game. Unfortunately the team would not keep this momentum and they finished 4-12. Over the next few years the Ravens continued to win individual games, they never seemed to be able to tackle an entire season.

The new millennium brought a new hope to the Baltimore Ravens, seeing the team develop one of the most fearsome defenses in NFL history. In 2000 the Ravens brought it from behind in the wild card round and went on to win the Super Bowl XXXV title against the New York Giants. Over the first decade of the 21st century the Ravens would make seven Playoff appearances and bring home two division championship successes. The short life of the team means that they have yet to build many rivalries, but nonetheless in professional sports contentions come into play the moment a team steps on the field. For the Ravens the rivalries fall down the division lines in the form of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. Matching up the hard-hitting play style of the Ravens and the Steelers, it’s easy to see why this rivalry is top-notch.
