Avenged Sevenfold Concert Tickets

Avenged Sevenfold came together in 1999 when Johnny Christ, M. Shadows, James "The Rev" Sullivan, Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates were still in high school in California. For the first two years, Avenged Sevenfold perfected their mix of punk, rock and metal music. Don't miss A7X perform LIVE; buy your Avenged Sevenfold tickets now!

With a heavy metal sound at its core and peripheral punk undertones, the group's style was influenced by bands like Pantera, Black Sabbath, Korn, Black Flag and the Misfits. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet was the band's first official album. The album was released in 2001 via the Goodlife label, and included tracks like "To End the Rapture" and "Turn the Other Way."

After the release of the album, Waking the Fallen, Warner Bros. heard the band's aggressive tunes and helped release City of Evil. "Bat Country" was the group's most famous single to date and contributed to the success of City of Evil. The album was a breakthrough for the group, reaching the Billboard Top 200 list.

Demand for Avenged Sevenfold's music was so high, the band decided to cancel tour dates in the fall of 2006 and work on recording more music. Hard work and dedication paid off for the quartet, as "Almost Easy" made it to the top five of the Billboard charts.
