DAYTONA VS FONTANA....?!

My 4 races at Fontana have been Fontana needs a lot more fan enthusiam. Coming from Daytona there is no comps. It is hard to see any of your drivers as they pass by waving!! Hello big reason we are here...DRIVERS!!! Nascar is a great family plus!!! Take your kids to qualifying they will luv it or not. y

Parking for infield passes

Infield, Need a way out at turns one & two.Need info on how to buy infield spot for RV. You must need to lower prices for infield, because I have not seen it full in the last eight times Ive been there.Prices on soda & ice out of control.Just make info on just your track at one easy spot. And remember the fans are what keep the place going.Try planing more events,there are other motor sports that could be put on.

I've been twice, once at the first race of the season, and at the later,and loved them both and plan to attend this weekend. You couldn't ask for too much more if your a die hard fan or a fan at all. And even if your new to the sport I think you will agree that it is spectacular, everyone you meet is excited to be there. Lots to see and experience, I encourage anyone to get out to see these races. "Let's Go Racing!"

general parking sucks no info on web !

[...] On what could or could not be brought in to speedway, parking stinks with no way to upgrade, after rain delay no way to get back to track. bus drop at far end of the track for 50% of riders. ambulances tring to drive threw 1000's of poeple to get to get out. the list is endless!! A poorly run race track will never fill the stands. with two races at this track NASCAR may be best off to move to a different city. a monkey can pick a banana but it takes common sence and hard work to run a good track. Management is very POOR! If you would like some help on sell outs I would be happy to help! Dan [...]

Auto Club 500 Tickets
The Auto Club 500 is more than just a race that is held every year at the California Speedway in Fontana, California. This race is part of the NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) Cup and takes place immediately after the Daytona 500 and immediately before the UAW-Dodge 400 making it the second race of the series. This race is sponsored by the Automobile Club of Southern California.

Prior to 2005, the race was traditionally held in May until the NASCAR Realignment was made in that year and the race was moved to February. In June of 1997, NASCAR was returned to California after having been away for nearly a decade. It was led with the inaugural California 500, featuring 21 lead changes and over a dozen different drivers. Winners of the Auto Club 500 have included Matt Kenseth in 2006 and 2007, Greg Biffle in 2005, Jeff Gordon in 2004 and Kurt Busch in 2003.

The name was changed to Auto Club 500 in 2003 due to a change in sponsor. Other titles the race has gone by include NAPA Auto Parts 500 and the California 500 presented by NAPA. Jeff Gordon has won this race three times; once in 1997, 1999 and 2004.

The different divisions of NASCAR include the Sprint Cup (formerly Nextel Cup), the Nationwide Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series. There are over 35 different races in this series (the Sprint Cup).

Winners for the Auto Club 500 are determined by the number of completed laps, including the car that crosses the finish line first. Points are awarded based on the drivers’ winning performance, and the driver with the most points at the end of the Sprint Cup Series wins the cup.

The Auto Club 500 is the second in a list of over 30 races in the Sprint Cup. The drivers that show an early sign of a winning drive usually spell out victory at the end of the series. This is the best time to watch to make early predictions and to see racing styles for all the drivers. NASCAR is a huge event, and it’s only going to get bigger!
