We flew across the US to see this production.

This is a powerful play which over-reaches a bit in terms of plot and length. The relationship revealed at the end was unnecessary to the already sufficiently battered family plot. Amazingly, the play successfully includes humor in a confrontational and tragic family reunion. I found myself wanting a paper copy so, later, I could check out the right on, one line zingers.
First time we ever saw a play that received a standing ovation. Also bravos usually heard at the opera.
There were a few funny moments amidst a lot of depressing family arguments. The arguments covered too many topics for one play. Dysfunctional families can be funny or entertaining, but this one was just depressing.
