I went the the bears falcons game last year and plan on attending this year. I am a Die Hard Bears fan. The Falcons did win a great game, but after the game i would have to say that the Falcons fans are the poorest winners i have ever seen. They were cussing at me and my wife and child, trying to start fights with Bears fans. The only reason I would ever go back is to see a Bears game. The fans need to grow up and respect other people. Win or lose have a little respect for yourself and other people....

[...] Why I was dissatisfied deals with Atlanta overall and the Falcons fans. I know that we were vistors, but to see a Falcons fan pour a soda all over a Bears fan at the end of the game is uncalled for. I also had male fans in my face, when I was not saying a word as my husband and I were leaving the stadium. As far as I'm concerned Atlanta is a dirty city, horrible service, and the people are out-right dispicable.[...]

The Atlanta Falcons are members of the South Division of the NFC in the NFL. The team’s home field is Georgia Dome which is located in Atlanta proper. Established in 1965, the Falcons began their professional football career as expansion team after the city was cornered to make a choice between joining the AFL or the NFL. Play for the team commenced in 1966. While the Falcons were able to sweep up many top-notch players in their first few drafts, they seemed unable to come out on top. The team did not experience success until the 1971 season in which they posted their first winning record, highlighted by a 28–21win over the Green Bay Packers for their first nationally televised game. Despite the team’s lukewarm accomplishments, their fan base grew and Atlanta Falcons tickets were in high demand. After a nine game winning streak in 1980 the team had a best record, at the time, of 12–4 and took home their first division title. Unfortunately the rest of the decade saw the Atlanta Falcons plagued by injuries that while typical of football play, seemed only to compound the team’s already painful downswing. The next two decades saw the Falcons on a roller coaster ride of wins and losses, never quite able to grasp their glory. Drafting of players like Deion Sanders and Brett Favre granted the team temporary lifts and helped them acquire a few conference, division and Playoff appearances, it did not assist the Falcons in their race for the coveted Super Bowl title. Continually the team pushes forward against division rivals Carolina Panthers Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.
