Arcade Fire Concert Tickets

Boasting a pop sound that dominated the independent music scene during the early and mid 2000s, Arcade Fire have established themselves as one of the most significant bands in the indie pop genre. The lineup features a husband and wife pairing, Win Butler and Regine Chassagne along with Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Will Butler (Win’s brother) and Jeremy Gara. The group also usually adds several members to their roster when beginning a new tour. While the members of the band hail from a mixture of Canadian and American homes, the group itself calls Montreal, Quebec its home. Purchase your Arcade Fire tickets today to take in this wonder of indie pop music live!

The group first came together in 2001 in Montreal. At the time, Win was attending Phillips Exeter Academy and had begun playing guitar with Josh Deu, another guitarist who attended the same school. After jamming together a few times, the two came to realize that they needed to add more diversity to their sound. Ultimately, they met Chassagne while playing at nearby McGill University, where she was a music student. After hearing her perform, Deu and Win asked her to join their band. The three of them, along with several other members, ended up recording a demo the next summer at a farm that belonged to Butler’s family. These recording sessions, paired with a number of lineup changes, would culminate in the release of an eponymously titled EP during the winter of 2003.

Rise to prominence
While their first EP wasn’t a massive success in terms of sales, it did put them on the radar of several record labels as well as attract a loyal legion of fans. The group began playing live shows together regularly in 2003, touring across parts of Canada and the U.S. on an independent basis. Their concerts generated considerable buzz and drew crowds, eventually leading them to sign their first recording contract with Merge Records. In the more than 10 years that have followed since their self-titled EP was put out, the group has recorded and released four other albums including Funeral in 2004, Neon Bible in 2007, The Suburbs in 2010 and Reflektor in 2013. Each of these albums has come with a corresponding tour, and Reflektor generated both a mini promotional tour and a full length set of dates.

Critical acclaim
The band has gained an almost cult like following among their fans, but they’ve also experienced considerable critical acclaim on some of the world’s largest stages. For example, throughout the course of their career, Arcade Fire has earned 10 Grammy Award nominations. They’ve won two of those, including album of the year for The Suburbs in 2011 and best recording package for Scenes from The Suburbs in 2012. They’ve also been awarded with an NME Award, six Juno Awards, a Meteor Music Award, two Plug Awards and the Polaris Music Prize, among other honors.
