Established in 1961, the Los Angeles Angels originally hailed from their namesake, Los Angeles. Members of the American League, the team moved to Anaheim, California, later in the 1960s with the prospect of a new stadium for the franchise to call home. It was not long before the team endeared themselves to their new hometown fans through powerful play, making Los Angeles Angels tickets a hot commodity.
The Halos started their baseball livelihood in a spirited manner, seeing them appear in the playoffs several times. Proud bearers of several titles, pennants and World Series wins, the Angels have found themselves home to many hall of famers. A testament to the Angels' success is their heated rivalry with intrastate competitors the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Angels' passionate rivalry stems from a series of games referred to as the "Freeway Series" which pits the two teams against each other. This yearly matchup generates some intense battle down on the diamond.
