When the Diceman was only 21 and still a college student, he took to the stage and auditioned at Pips, a local comedy club in Brooklyn, and was soon headlining shows under the name Andrew Clay. He worked the crowd with his impressions of John Travolta’s Danny Zuko from Grease and Jerry Lewis’s The Nutty Professor.

Clay got his big break in 1988 when he was picked up by Dennis Arfa, an agent who saw him perform a seven-minute set on Rodney Dangerfield’s special "Nothing Goes Right." In 1995, he released his first HBO special, Assume the Position.

In February 2013, he appeared at the Pollstar Awards, an award show for the concert industry. He’s also recently appeared on the hit HBO show Entourage, participated in the second season of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice and signed a book deal for a memoir titled The Filthy Truth.
