Watching the two greatest southern rock guitar players on the planet is always a plus. You don't get any better than Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Greg's vocals were his usual soaked in blues best. Perfect venue, perfect weather, perfect night.

Allman Brothers Band Concert Tickets
Formed in 1969 by brothers Duane and Gregg Allman, The Allman Brothers remains one of the most important groups in classic rock history. By blending blues, rock and country music, they have one of the most unique sounds in the industry, and despite an ever-changing lineup, fans still clamor for Allman Brothers Band tickets.

Gregg and Duane Allman had been playing together for years before the band finally came together, but when they added the likes of talented drummer Butch Trucks and guitarist Dickey Betts, the band took off. The band released its self-titled debut in 1969 and it set off one of the most successful stretches in the 70s. The Allman Brothers went on to play gigs with the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Zappa and Taj Mahal before heading back to the studios.

The Allman Brothers Band enjoyed their first mainstream success thanks to the release of the 1970 album Idlewild South. The record was a critical hit and contained one of their most iconic tracks in "Midnight Rider." Although Duane Allman passed away in 1971, the group continued to produce hits throughout the rest of the 70s. While the band continued to share the stage with names like Blues Traveler, it was almost always the ABB that was the headlining act.

Songs such a "Melissa" off Eat a Peach and "Ramblin Man" and "Jessica" off Brothers and Sisters all still receive considerable radio play 40 decades later.
