Alabama Shakes Concert Tickets

A number of standout bands emerged during 2012, but Alabama Shakes was the top of many critics' lists. The blues and garage rock-influenced foursome brought a sound not heard for years and Alabama Shakes tickets have become some of the most popular items around.

Alabama Shakes owes its powerful sound to the lead vocals of Brittany Howard, who provides a throwback vibe that mixes well with the modern spin the band puts on blues. Howard formed the band with bassist Zac Cockrell in 2009, and after adding two more talented musicians, Alabama quickly developed a loyal fan following. By the end of 2011, it was clear they were destined for big things. Before the band dropped their first album their wide appeal already saw them sharing the stage with names like Gotye and Kendrick Lamar.

The band released its debut album, Boys & Girls, in 2012 and it was an immediate hit among both critics and fans. The record featured a number of soon-to-be classic tracks including "Hang Loose" and "Hold On," which earned the band a Grammy nomination for best rock performance.

Alabama Shakes have become renowned for being one of the best live bands touring today. Howard and the gang established themselves as a music festival staple in 2012, something which will certainly continue into the future.
