By Joan, a 46-year-old fan from Beaumont, CA on 3/6/2007
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Live Performance, Perfect Set List
Cons:
Mosh pit, Poor Sound Quality, Too Short
Best For:
Die-Hards Only

AFI sounds great in their live performance. They are good showmen. They care about the crowd. The venue lacked good sound equipment and the stage should have been elevated. A lot of people could not see the band. Fans were rude and pushy on the floor. Fans booed the opening acts!! Mosh-pits should be outlawed! Security was outstanding!!

[...] Bogarts was a great venue with friendly staff and nice layout. The fans were incredible and fun to watch. I was the parent taking my teens to the show and it was very enjoyable - loved the balcony and the bar!

Cons:

We LOVED AFI, but it was TOO HOT, security not doing job with moshing, Paid Alot for the tickets to find out that we would be standing on top of eachother, we were extremely intimate with eachother by the end of the night.

A.F.I Concert Tickets

AFI, the American rock band from Ukiah, California, has been producing hit after hit over a two-decade career. Led by vocalist Davey Havok, they released their first studio album, Answer That and Stay Fashionable, in 1995. The group released their next two albums - Very Proud of Ya and Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes. AFI's 1999 album, Black Sails in the Sunset, and the 2000 album The Art of Drowning showcased their switch from pure punk rock to a horror-punk influenced sound. Don't miss out on AFI tickets. Be front and center to witness the pioneers of the post-hardcore and melodic hardcore genres.

Coming together during their high school years, AFI later disbanded after members chose to attend college at the University of California, Berkeley. They reunited in the mid-1990s to produce several vinyl EPs. AFI's distinct sound is similar to rock bands like Pennywise and The Descendents. It wasn't until 12 years after the group first developed that they reached some commercial success. Their 2003 album Sing the Sorrow went straight to No. 5 on the Billboard 200 charts. In the summer of 2006, Decemberunderground, their eighth studio album release, debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.
