AL West Baseball Tickets

The American League West, or AL West, is one of the three divisions of Major League Baseball's American League. The west division boasts five teams as of the 2013 season, but had only four from 1994 to 2012. Before the 1994 realignment of the division, the AL West actually had seven teams on the roster. The majority of the teams in this league are based along the west coast and Texas, but the division has had teams as far east as Chicago. In 2013, the Houston Astros transferred from the National League Central to the AL West, giving all MLB divisions an equal number of teams. Come out and celebrate America's pastime by getting your AL West baseball tickets> today!

The Western League, a minor baseball league based in the Great Lakes states, created the American League in 1901 when the West graduated to major league status. The American League is sometimes called the Junior Circuit because it only earned Major League status in 1901, 25 years after the formation of the National League, which is known as the "Senior Circuit." Fans know that at the end of every baseball season, the champion of the American League plays in the World Series against the champion of the National League. Until 2013, American League teams had won 63 of the 109 World Series games played since 1903.
