Tickets to the Houston Rodeo for 4: $147.00
Bus ride from Delmar for 4: $30.00
4 Sodas & 2 Popcorn Tubs: $28.00
Hearing and seeing Brad Paisley have the worst sound crew, forget the lyrics, miss the stage, and call us all drunks - PRICELESS!
Anyone who knows the concerts that the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo have put on in the past since moving to Reliant Stadium are top notch and Brad was no different. First class sound, lights, everything.
But the jeers go to Brad on this show. He forgot the lyrics to "Ticks", and "Water", and even cut "Ticks" short because of the missed lyrics.
The voice was pitch perfect when you could actually hear him. The vocals were TERRIBLE! I think he hired his sound crew from some hip-hop act where it doesn't matter who hears you.
He did try and interact with the audience, but only the ones on the front row - he neglected the other 70,000. He went down 4 times onto the floor of the stadium during solos and completely forgot about everyone else. Not to mention that on one of his returns (and the exit at the end of the show) he completely missed the platform and stairs to the stage even with 4 bodyguards pointing it out.
My wife and I took our 7 and 8 year old boys who are huge fans and even they were asking to leave shortly before the end of the show.
Sorry - Still a big fan, but I'll stick to the CDs. Sure wish I had caught you on the first tour. I suspect it was much better.

Scotty McCreery opened, followed by Band Perry and then Brad. Each provided really good performances, including a number of their big hits. Brad worked his way all the way thru the first floor of the audience while performing a song and stopping at several mini-stages out in the crowd. This show was phenomenal! Well worth the money and the wait!! Images shared by: The MasterBrad with lead of Band Perry

By SP from birmingham, al on 2/11/2011 concert started early meaning we missed jerrod by being a little late. daruis didn't sing "southern state of mind" nor "history in the making". all of brad's songs sounded the same. watched cartoons for approx 15 min & no encore. only a few people on the VERY front row were engaged the whole time. saw brad before he got "big" and he was MUCH better. darius and jerrod should've opened for him!
