Reviews "Best concert ever" By justin from new jersey on 5/30/2007 Pros: Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Great Sound, Perfect Set List Cons: Too Hot, Too Short Best For: Everyone Amazing time, the crowd was nuts. a little hot but it didn't bother me because I got to see my favorite band perform. They played amazing, sounded like the CD.
Enjoyable By Jon from Herndon, VA on 5/20/2007 Pros: Engaging Stage Presence, Great Lighting, Great Sound Cons: Crowd Was Not Into It, Too Short Best For: Casual Fans I was expecting the crowd to be a little crazier based on the type of music the AM play. It was mildly disappointing to see only a handful of people getting into the music and dancing. The energy in the crowd didn't match with the energy on the stage.
Best Band Live By Chris M from UK on 5/20/2007 Pros: Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Sound, Perfect Set List Best For: Everyone The band have proved to me why tickets are so hard to get in the UK, I was lucky to be in Philadelphia when the Arctics where there, Absolutely Amazing
[0 of 1 customers found this review helpful] How many times did they play that? By Citizen Erased from New York, NY on 5/17/2007 Pros: Great Lighting Cons: Poor Set List, Too Short Best For: Die-Hards Only First i'd like to add that i don't know many Arctic Monkey songs and that may have made my experience as average as it was.
Be Your Own Pet were the openers and completely rocked my world. These teens from Nashville were jumping around all over the place playing their hearts out, but the crowd was not into it until me and my friends gave them a couple of pushes and thats when they really got started. With lead singer Jemina Pearl (Abegg) ruling the stage they completely surpased all my expectations.
Now to the Arctic Monkeys. They started off the show with the crowd on their side going absolutely insane, but after they repeated the same song over 15 times the crowd didn't seem so into it, and unless you knew every song (which was a minority of the fans) you were just sitting around with your arms crossed mainly because the band didn't have any stage presence and just stood still the entire time, but thats not even the worst part! They didnt even encore!
The main point is I expected excellence from the Monkeys and got average.
