As a young boy, Michael Buble’s grandfather played an integral role in encouraging him to enter the music industry. Growing up, Buble listened to all of his grandfather’s jazz records. After hearing the Mills Brothers for the first time, Michael Buble said he encountered an epiphany of performing and becoming a professional singer. Buble’s rise to fame occurred when Michael McSweeney, an associate to the former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, saw Buble perform at a business party. After being invited to sing at Mulroney’s daughter’s wedding, Buble was introduced to multi-Grammy producer and Warner Brothers record executive, David Foster. Buble signed with Foster and soon produced his self-titled album Michael Buble in 2000 (released in 2003). Buble has come a very long way since his days dreaming with his grandfather. His list of accolades are endless and continue to flow in. Since his start Buble has won seven Juno awards ranging from 2004-2006. He has also won an Echo Award for “It’s Time” in the Jazz Production of the Year category, three Grammys for “It’s Time,” “Call Me Irresponsible” and “Everything.” In 2006, he too home the MuchMusic Video Award for his popular song “Home.” In 2007, his song “Me and Mrs. Jones” earned him the Song of the Year In The Annual 2007 Award on Polish Radio Channel 3. Buble’s list of accomplishments also include several cameos in films/shows such as Duets, Totally Blonde, The Snow Walker, Las Vegas and Da Kath & Kim Code.
