Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band originating from Orlando, Florida. The group formed in 1996 and since then has taken the world by storm. Over the course of their presence in the music industry, Matchbox Twenty has reached several accomplishments. In just 12 years, the band has sold more than 44 million records worldwide. Group members consist of lead singer Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Kyle Cook and Paul Doucette. Prior to the creation of Matchbox Twenty, Thomas, Yale and Doucette participated in a band called Tabitha’s Secret, also from Florida.
