Biography

Though she has been swarmed with controversy for the past several years, it appears that Britney Spears has made a full comeback and is once again at the top of the pop music mountain with the release of her newest album "Circus". Britney Spears tickets are at an all time high for demand as this queen of pop once again tours the country.

The rise to the top for Britney Spears has been one of the most documented of our generation. From her humble beginnings in McComb, Mississippi to her days as a Mousketeer, to her rise to and fall from superstardom; Britney Spears has grown up in front of America and in the reflection of a camera lenses. Yet with all those obstacles, Britney Spears has found a way to reclaim the title of reigning pop music queen in America.

Britney, no stranger to the television screen, hit mainstream success in 1998 with the release of her single ". . . Baby One More Time". Strange for the time though, was that the video for the song is what pushed its, and Britney Spear's, popularity up the music charts. The video quickly became a staple on MTV's video lineup and consistently came in at #1 on the then popular video request show TRL.

Not relying on the success of her first album, Britney Spears quickly released a second, "Oops! . . . I Did it Again," in 2000 and sold almost 1.4 million copies in its first week of release. After releasing another album that would shatter records, Britney hit the road for her "Oops . . . I did it Again" World Tour. The tour included a controversial stop at the MTV Video Music Awards and would go on to gross incredible numbers.

After the monumental success of her first two albums, Britney Spears saw a decline in record sales (not that the numbers were small by any means) and a influx of competition. She began to take a larger role in her music creation and her sound would go through a slight transformation to a more "grown up" mix of tracks. The new records were not always received well by critics or fans and put Spears at a crossroads in her career.

It was at this point where Britney Spears began her career as a media mogul. She began appearing on television shows, stared in her own movie and began a line of women's fragrances. Britney Spears had appeared to have graduated away from the pop music that brought her the notoriety she currently possessed. It was during this time that Britney Spears became a target for the media and seemed to be in the news almost daily. Several missteps caught on camera and legal battles that were widely publicized led to what seemed to be the downfall of Britney Spears.

However, after several months out of the spotlight, Britney Spears emerged with a new album and a new passion for music. Now, with a successful CD launch and a newly announced tour, Britney Spears seems poised to reclaim her throne at the top of Pop music. Tickets for her shows sold out almost instantly and Britney Spears tickets are in the highest demand.
